With a smile of satisfaction he covered the distance to the now dried storage vessel. His smile was growing as he held it over the opening and gingerly sat it in place. He stepped back to admire his work, pleased with the results.
As he watched, the lid shifted slightly, making an audible click. Before Dhala could catalog the reason, the lips shifted again and then fell through the opening. He didn’t need to look to see the results. He stood staring in disbelief. His best work. And it failed.
“Do it again.”
